Let's Overcome Trauma and Fear Through the Wisdom of Advaita and Yoga

Re-program the Mind: A PTSD Mind Reset Program
A structured program of healing, self-observation, mental discipline, meditation, and inner inquiry designed to help a person understand and regulate the mind, reduce mental reactivity, and develop greater clarity, concentration, emotional balance, and inner awareness.
This program based on the foundation of Advaita Psychology - Raja Yoga tradition, the emphasis is on working directly with the mind through practices such as concentration, meditation, observation of thoughts, withdrawal of attention from distractions, and cultivation of mental stillness. It can also include philosophical study and self-inquiry to understand the relationship between the mind, the sense of self, and consciousness.
What make this program distinctive?
1. Training the mind directly
Rather than focusing only on relaxation, Raja Yoga develops the ability to observe, concentrate, regulate, and ultimately quiet mental activity.
2. Systematic development of concentration
Concentration is not merely a side benefit—it is a central skill. The practitioner progressively trains attention to become more stable and less easily distracted.
3. Witnessing thoughts without identification
The practitioner learns to observe thoughts and emotions rather than automatically identifying with them: “I am aware of my thoughts” rather than “I am my thoughts.”
4. Understanding the architecture of the mind
Your program can explore concepts such as Manas, Buddhi, Chitta, Ahamkara, Sakshi, and Atman, giving students a traditional Indian framework for understanding mental processes and self-awareness.
5. From mental disturbance to inner stillness
The objective isn't simply “feel relaxed.” The deeper progression can be: awareness → concentration → mental regulation → reduced identification → inner stillness → self-knowledge.
6. Integration with Advaita
If your particular program combines Raja Yoga with Advaita, you can take the practice beyond mental management toward self-inquiry and recognition of the witnessing consciousness (Sakshi).
